Google Takes Over Westside

Owners confirm Google will convert the three-story mall into a creative office space starting this year.






Hudson Pacific Properties and Macerich confirmed that Google has officially signed a 14-year lease term and will soon move into the West Pavilion Mall. The 584,000 square-feet building will be converted and redeveloped into
a creative office space and campus. The project, designed by Gensler, mentioned that there are plans for a rooftop amenity and garden deck. A few nearby residential neighborhoods include Westwood, Cheviot Hills, Century City, Mar Vista, Brentwood, and Culver City. The mall, which is now called, “One Westside” is set to be completed in 2022.Photo from Hudson Pacific Properties
